“I’ve thought of it as a few different things at a few different times, but now I’ve come to consider it simply a Western.”
- Patrick deWitt
Patrick deWitt is a Canadian writer, born in the twentieth century and writing his novels, now, in the twenty-first; his second book however, the Man Booker shortlisted The Sisters Brothers for those who have been living under a literary rock, is an entirely unique chronicle of blood, brotherhood and morality in gold rush-era American west.
Interviewee: Hannah Cox – Director of Cloud 9 Festival
Interviewer: Stacey Nowicki on behalf of Popped Culture
Date: Friday 8th July 2011
It was an absolute pleasure to speak with the breath of fresh air that is Hannah Cox, the director of the 2011 Cloud 9 Festival. With only weeks till the event, which takes place on Saturday 6th August 2011, she is up to her eyes in it, but as she discussed this young event with me, you could hear the passion and excitement in her voice. As a fellow event organiser/manager I know the pressure Hannah will be faced with, but I was inspired by her upbeat attitude and commitment to making this event a success.
Located on the beautiful Love Lane Farm in Cheshire this event will be showcasing some of the best signed, unsigned and almost defiantly gonna be signed talent that the musical world is able to offer us and I am therefore very pleased to congratulate all of you lucky lambs who are attending this unique event….you're in for a real treat!
